Ujaya Shakya
Founder & Managing Director of Outreach Nepal

Ujaya Shakya brings along with him more than 17 years of diverse experience in the field of strategic 360-degree communication, branding and social communication development. He has been instrumental in developing and implementing successful advertising campaigns, media & PR strategies and behavioral change communication campaigns. 

He spearheads one of the most awarded communication group based in Kathmandu, which has reinvented communication and brand marketing in Nepal, by introducing dedicated verticals specialized in Media Planning & Buying, Contemporary Creative Solutions, Experiential Marketing & Activation, Rural Communication & Visual Merchandizing, Digital & Social Media Optimization, PR & Event Management. Along with this, he has been a lynchpin in bringing modern communication ideas in the emerging market of Nepal. With new innovations to his credits, he has carved a name for himself in both corporate and development sector communication alike. 

He has been a regular columnist in international advertising publications like Campaign Asia Pacific & Campaign India; and is proud to have started the first regular advertising column in Nepal called ‘Brand Basics’.

His book, ‘Brandsutra’ on branding & advertising was published in the year 2015. He is also regularly invited as a jury member for advertising & brand awards across the globe.
